Making the Leap – Part II

Back on December 8th, I posted that I was taking a calculated risk. That risk was changing jobs. I resigned from my current employer and after 10 years in the legal industry I am moving on to the A/E/C sector (architecture/engineering/construction). I am still in the world of professional services so many elements are similar but the profession is vastly different. I am joining Entuitive – a fresh, young structural engineering firm that has quickly made a huge impact on the market in just three years. Their focus on being a client-focused engineering services firm that “simplifies the complex” appealed to me. And that they are an “established start-up” appealed to the entreprenuer and risk-taker aspect of my personality. I think this is going to be a great fit and I am looking forward to helping them build this firm.

While I am excited, I am also quited saddened to be leaving my team. They are a fantastic group of young and bright people who I am going to miss dearly. But change is a part of life and this is an opportunity for them and I know they will continue to do great things.

So, 2014 is guaranteed to be different for me and full of all sorts of new and interesting challenges. Bring it on.
